BUCKEYE, AZ – A man’s life was claimed in a single-motorcycle collision that happened off U.S. 80 near the historic Gillespie Dam bridge on Friday.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office told AZFamily the incident took place before 3:30 a.m. Deputies determined that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control of his bike, and crashed it.
The motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
