CHANDLER, AZ – A driver died after striking a tree on Gilbert Rd near Doral Dr on Wednesday morning, according to AZFamily.
The driver was heading south on Gilbert Rd when they strayed off the road and slammed into a tree around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames.
First responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Officials have not released the driver’s name.
Emergency crews closed down the area to process the scene.
