MESA, AZ – Mesa Fire Rescue declared one person dead after finding and pulling a white SUV from a canal off East Broadway and Signal Butte Roads on Friday.
Fire crews were dispatched to the rescue after 10 a.m. and, at 12:45 p.m., pulled a white SUV out of the canal and also discovered a person inside who had died from their injuries prior to their arrival, Fox10Phoenix said.
It’s not immediately clear what caused the vehicle to enter the water.
