News: 2-vehicle crash kills 1, hurts 5 in Avondale

AVONDALE, AZ – A ten-year-old boy died, and five people went to the hospital Wednesday after a Mustang collided with a passenger van in Avondale, reports abc15 Arizona.

The incident happened sometime before 6:03 a.m. near the intersection of South 107th Avenue and West Van Buren Avenue, which is just west of the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Avondale.

It’s still unclear how the crash happened, but police say a child from the Mustang died after transport to a local hospital. Three other children also went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries along with an adult male and female.
