GLENDALE, AZ – A person who drove at a high rate of speed was responsible for a rear-end wreck involving a service truck on Monday, AZFamily said.
The crash occurred around midnight. Preliminary details show that a 21-year-old man driving a Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his car and rear-ended a stationary service truck.
Law enforcement confirmed the service truck had activated its lights and traffic cones surrounding it to show that it was stopped. The force of the collision significantly damaged the back of the white truck and the rear portion of the car.
The 21-year-old man was sent to the hospital. He is currently there
The truck driver appeared to be uninjured.
Authorities shut down Camelback Road between 53rd and 55th Avenue for the scene clearance process.
