News: Man’s life claimed in crash-shooting in North Phoenix

NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – A man’s life was claimed in a crash and shooting incident that occurred in a North Phoenix neighborhood on Saturday, ABC15 reports.

Phoenix Police said the incident began around 4 a.m. in the area of 7th Street and Dunlap Avenue. It was there that a 43-year-old man crashed into several parked cars.

A homeowner and his son stepped out of their home to see what chaos unfolded. They saw that the 43-year-old then reserved his truck and crashed into another vehicle (owned by the son)

The son then shot the 43-year-old man, later identified as Bruce Roanhorse.

Roanhorse died from his injuries.

Police detained the man who shot Roanhorse for questioning and discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest, and booked him into jail.

Police did not say whether Roanhorse intentionally struck the parked vehicles, nor did they confirm whether it was purely an accident.

Police are working to determine the events leading to this crash-shooting.

New information, including the shooting suspect’s name, will be added once it becomes publicly available.
