News: Failure to yield suspected in fatal two-car crash in Phoenix 

PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police suspect a driver failed to yield the right of way, which led to a two-car crash that killed one person and injured three others Saturday. 

Police and EMS crews were dispatched to the intersection of North 35th Avenue & West Glendale Avenue and arrived at the scene after 5:45 p.m., AZ Family reports.

Ambulance personnel, one driver, one adult passenger, and two kid passengers to area hospitals. There, the driver suffered fatal injuries. She has since been identified as 72-year-old Virginia Delgado Vasquez. 

The surviving occupants received treatment for minor injuries. 

Police shut down the northbound lanes for the clean-up process and investigation. At this time, police did not confirm whether it was Delgado Vasquez or the other driver who was suspected of failing to yield to on-coming traffic.
